BBC News: Japan Direct Page

I found this very cool page on the British Broadcasting Channel (BBC) News page regarding Japan. The site has whole pages devoted to countries – the USA included. It’s basically a “glimpse” if you will of said country.

Everything is short and sweet; the profile of the geisha in the segment “Working Lives Kyoto” is one example. This is a very good source of information from a reputable source. What the BBC lacks in some areas (in my opinion), it does admirably in others – such as highlights into countries. You won’t find this kind of reporting from American news sources! Here’s the link.

Here’s also the link to “Working Lives Kyoto“, a special segment taking short snippets of the lives of six individuals living and working in Kyoto. I haven’t seen all of them yet, but so far it’s interesting. I’ll admit, I went for the profile of the female Aikido instructor first.

Hope you enjoy it!
